CSR > StakeholdersIdentification Process of Major Issues
Respecting stakeholders and regarding their opinions as references for fulfilling corporate social responsibility (CSR) are the mainstream trend and direction in promoting CSR. To ensure the effective collection of their opinions, we have followed the GRI G4 guidelines and codes of practice of CSR for publicly listed and OTC companies by including the stakeholder identification process in the communication and operational procedures at CHC. Furthermore, management systems, quality meetings of all divisions and departments, and operations of the Comprehensive Quality Committee and CSR Managedment Committee are carried out to ensure that the stakeholders’ opinions are included in the CSR promotion isssues. In addition, we also accept external assessment of our CSR Reports and take part in the selection by relevant agencies domestically to obtain valuable opinions for continuous improvement.

Major Issues and Aspects
CHC’s stakeholders include shareholders, customers, employees, residents in the community, suppliers, contractors, government agencies, academics, engineering consultancies, non-profit organizations, and the media. Relevant units collect issues that the stakeholders are concerned with by communication channels. Members from the environment sustainability team, operation development team, and community relations team grade the issues first and then pass them on to the core team to be confirmed what the major issues are.
After the major issues are confirmed, the core team will follow the GRI G4 guidelines to determine the corresponding major aspects, including economic performance, practice in purchases, assessment of the suppliers’ workers, raw materials, energy, CO2 and GHG emissions, waste water and wastes, legal compliance in terms of the environment, product responsibility, and society, employment relations, occupational health and safety, training and education, labor-management relations, forced or compulsory labor, complaint mechanisms regarding labor practice, and labeling of product and services. Strategies and actions plans will be proposed to the CSR Committee, and then they will be promoted, implemented, and disclosed in the CSR Reports.
